Features: Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China, serving as the political and cultural center of the nation. It is also a world-famous ancient city and a modern international metropolis. The newly compiled "Beijing Urban Map Atlas" is a medium-sized practical reference map collection that reflects Beijing's geographical information and urban spatial layout through vivid and intuitive map language. It includes content such as government agencies, social organizations, foreign-related institutions, educational, cultural, and health facilities, industrial and commercial enterprises, transportation networks, and scenic spots. It serves as a reference book for officials of all levels of government and party organizations, as well as a comprehensive geographical guide for readers working, living, and traveling in Beijing, helping them gain an in-depth understanding of the city. The atlas consists of five parts: an introductory map, central city maps, district and county maps, new city maps, and an index. It includes a total of 79 maps and approximately 13,000 index entries. The administrative boundaries of cities, districts, towns, and townships in the atlas are drawn based on the survey results of administrative boundaries announced by the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau. The basic data of the atlas are derived from the fundamental geographical information data of the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping and recent field survey results, with data updated to May 2005. The "Beijing Urban Map Atlas" is original and innovative, and its copyright belongs to the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping, protected by the "Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China."
