Features: We determine the topic based on the core courses designated by the Ministry of Education for tourism management programs. The authors are primarily influential teachers and scholars from tourism programs in various universities, and the guiding principle for textbook compilation is to reflect the new perspectives, materials, and achievements in the field of tourism. The newly compiled series of tourism textbooks has the following characteristics: strong theoretical foundation, a high starting point, focusing on aligning with international tourism academic research while also reflecting the actual state of tourism education and research in China; emphasis on practicality, directly serving different sectors of the tourism industry; use of new materials and examples to reflect the new dynamics of the tourism industry. The newly published edition of the textbooks covers almost all courses offered in tourism programs at higher education institutions, based on our existing more than 30 types of textbooks. Moreover, we will continuously revise the original textbooks, add new topics, and improve them to better serve the faculty and students of tourism programs in higher education institutions in line with the needs of the tourism industry and the development of tourism education.
