Features: The book includes a total of 90 precious traditional crosstalk pieces! The selected segments are all famous and renowned performances from the first four volumes that were not previously included, such as Mr. Zhang Shouchen's Eating Hot Noodles in the Daoguang Era and The Mischievous Child, Mr. Hou Baolin's Wang Erjie Thinking of Her Husband, Mr. Liu Baorui's Zhang Fei Climbing a Tree, and Mr. Su Wenmao's Wine-Related Riddles. Some are widely performed and well-known in the crosstalk world, such as Mr. Chang Baoting and Mr. Bai Quanfu's Learning the Four Faces, Mr. Zhao Zhen duo and Mr. Zhao Shizhong's Learning the Four Provinces, Mr. Li Boshang and Mr. Sun Shaochen's Yutang Chun, Mr. Guo Rongqi's Learning the Peking Opera, and Mr. Wang Shutian's The Four Great Peking Opera Stars. Others are nearly lost to time, such as Mr. Yang Zhenhua's Disciplining His Son, Selling Candied Fruits, and The Treasure-Seeking Homecoming, Mr. Yu Chunming (Little Bei Gua)'s The Rice Cake Stands, Learning the Four Generations, and Learning the Manchu Language, Mr. Jin Tao's Fear of Bathing and The Opera Fan Walking the Streets, Mr. Liu Wenbu's Wuxun's Disciple, and the works of Taiwan crosstalk masters Wei Longhao and Wu Zhaonan, such as Fear of the Running Inn. Additionally, based on old recordings, the book Ji Ping San's Learning the Beijing Dialect and The Opera Fan's Tale, Mr. Guo Qiru and Mr. Liu Dezhi's The Improved Lasso, and the works of Da Fan Tong and Shao Xiaozi, such as Telling a Dream.
Lastly, it is worth mentioning the Eight Sticks, all of which are Mr. Zhang Chunquan's "top-notch" masterpieces. Although Zhang Guangtai (also known as The White Dog Tomb) only has three segments—Emergence, Learning the Trade, and Returning Home—and The Nine-Headed Case only has half a segment, they are extremely valuable as reference materials!
