Features: This book provides a collection of interviews that have been edited and annotated with references to the sources of the quotes. The interview work was conducted with Professor Gadamer at the beginning of this year. The title of the book is the areas I questioned. The central theme of the interview is Gadamer's discussion on the problem of understanding in the humanities. His theory on the constraint of the effective history and the application structure of the hermeneutic process opens up a reflective dimension in our humanistic endeavors. The preservation and promotion of the human tradition cannot be described solely as purely archaeological research or methodologically oriented professional exploration. Its starting point and relevant perspective should be a questioning of ourselves. Gadamer speaks of dialogue with tradition, in which the traditional explicators are always led to a new, expanded self-understanding. Dialogue with tradition should be placed in a world of dialogue, a hermeneutic realm, where in the dialogue everyone lives as the other of the other, and only in coordination with others can they live a successful life—these are clearly expressed at the end of . There, it discusses a vast topic of hermeneutic philosophy arising from the core of language, as well as our forms of life in communicative states. The second interview addresses several issues in hermeneutic aesthetics. Unlike , the texts discussed here are not Gadamer's main work Truth and Method, but a later paper. The discussion on this article indicates that the revelation of meaning orientation and the hermeneutic characteristics of aesthetic experience should not equate aesthetic understanding with non-aesthetic understanding. The characteristics of the understanding process associated with the appreciation of artworks occupy the center of the field of work opened up by hermeneutic aesthetics. Distinct from the structure of meaning acquisition in practical contexts, where every meaning bearer, regardless of the difficulties they encounter, ultimately emerges in a successful meaning construction, the understanding of art, the reading of a painting or a literary masterpiece, does not see such an end: "Understanding experiences the depth and infinity of its meaning in the presence of the work." The third interview was published in slightly edited form on February 11 in the Rhein-Negger newspaper to celebrate Gadamer's 93rd birthday and discusses issues in practical philosophy. The fundamental viewpoint of this philosophy is expressed by Gadamer through solidarity (Solidarit?t)
