Features: As a novelist, Zhang Ailing achieved the pinnacle of success the moment she began writing and created classics with every stroke. Today, rereading Love in a Fallen City, placing it among the masterpieces of any classic writer since the May Fourth Movement, raises the question of who can match her rather than whether it falls short. This book largely adheres to the original in both storyline and language style. From elegant romance to desolate life, the adaptation and portrayal offer a profound and unique flavor. Zhang Ailing's novels were written during turbulent times, and her sense of desolate life is unmistakable. The original's text and plot provide an excellent blueprint for this adaptation, and through it, we believe readers will enjoy a fresh and immersive experience.
