Features: The calligraphy of couplets holds immense artistic value. A well-crafted couplet is itself a fine piece of literary work. It not only has a rhythmic cadence in its tones but also conveys profound meanings, inspiring deep reflection. For example, Sang Jiewu's "[Wind Strong Willows Straight, Rain Misty Mountains Cold]" (,), Cheng Ping's "[Wind Blows Mountain Birds Sing, Flowers Fall into Wine Cup Fragrant]" (,), and Xiu Jingsui's "[High Cliff Thousands of Feet with Tiger, Old Pine One Mountain with Dragon]" (,) all paint vivid scenes while expressing emotions, with their (profound and subtle connotations). Adding the artistic touch of a calligrapher, each character is rendered with the grace of pearls and jade, exuding elegance and refreshing spirit. Readers holding this book in their hands—how could they not feel delighted to open it? My brother Dehua traveled thousands of miles for the publication of this book, visiting renowned masters and seeking calligraphy, enduring great hardships. Yet, he is now nearly seventy years old, and his ambition and spirit are truly commendable and pitiable. Therefore, I have named this essay: "A Journey of Thousands of Miles Leads to the Completion of This Book." May this book be appreciated by a wide audience.
