Features: Internists and radiologists often encounter pulmonary diseases with diffuse changes on X-rays and other imaging in clinical practice. Due to the complex etiology, diverse types of diffuse lung diseases, and the fact that many diseases can present with similar or identical clinical and radiographic findings, particularly because many diffuse lung diseases have low incidence rates and physicians have limited clinical experience in accumulating knowledge about them, the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of such diseases have always been a significant topic for respiratory internists and radiologists. Currently, research depth in the field of diffuse lung diseases in China is very limited, with a considerable gap compared to international standards. Moreover, due to insufficient or scattered reference materials, it is often difficult to understand and master the latest research trends abroad. To help clinical workers improve their diagnostic and treatment capabilities for diffuse lung diseases, we have compiled this book based on extensive review of domestic and international literature and combined with years of clinical practice, aiming to provide references for clinicians. During the writing process, we strive to achieve: first, content that is novel and detailed, as much as possible systematically reflecting the latest advancements in domestic and international research on diffuse lung diseases; second, a focus on science and practicality, with the information provided offering guidance for clinicians in improving their diagnostic and treatment skills for diffuse lung diseases. The book is divided into two parts, with a total of 29 chapters. Chapters 1 to 6 form the first part, primarily introducing relevant basic theories, etiology, pathogenesis, classification principles of diffuse lung diseases, and general diagnostic approaches. Chapters 7 to 29 constitute the second part, providing a more detailed introduction to the clinical characteristics, diagnostic and differential diagnostic principles, and basic treatment methods for various diffuse lung diseases. The book also includes over 200 radiographic images of cases for readers to refer to and compare while reading. An appendix is appended at the end, introducing relevant domestic and international diagnostic and treatment standards for diffuse lung diseases.
