In this autobiographical novel that portrays the struggles of the disabled, she expresses her unique and challenging experiences through the protagonist Ding Yi. The words convey the torment of illness, the weight of life, and the entanglement of life and death. During the writing process, she faced difficulties and endured pain in various aspects. In April 2004, the "Online People" column of this newspaper reported on Qin Yuhua's story. After being moved by her experiences, the editor of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Press offered her enthusiastic support, which eventually led to the publication of "Struggling Against Fate."
