Features: Writing fairy tales is a very interesting and joyful thing. I don’t drink alcohol, smoke, or play cards, but I can write fairy tales. I get addicted to it—without writing for a day, I feel uncomfortable. I love dreaming, and the stories in my dreams are often wonderful. When I wake up, I still remember them, but by the morning, I’ve forgotten them completely, except for a faint, delightful aftertaste that lingers. So sometimes, when I wake up in the middle of the night and the tail of a dream is still nearby, I quickly wake up my wife beside me and tell her the dream, asking her to help me remember it. But by the next morning, she has forgotten it too. Thereafter, no matter how cold it is, as soon as I have a good dream, I jump out of bed and jot it down in my notebook. Once, when I had a cold, the doctor asked me what was wrong, and I said I had gotten up in the middle of the night to catch a dream and frozen myself. The doctor couldn’t help but stare at me for a long time. Fairy tales are like lively little sprites, laughing and jumping in every corner around me. I grab one, dig out another, and then jot them down in my little notebook. My little notebook filled one book after another. I wrote batch after batch. My friends say I still act like a child sometimes, and I tell them, "That’s because I’m a fairy tale writer."
