Features: The color teaching in the Basic Design Teaching Department focuses on enhancing students' understanding of the fundamental principles and rules of color, mastering the correct observation methods of color, and improving their color expression skills and aesthetic appreciation. Emphasizing both perception and comprehension, the training deepens solid drawing skills while fostering students' active ability to recognize and utilize color. Starting with the study of natural color phenomena and their patterns, extensive drawing exercises help students establish correct methods of color observation, comprehension, and expression, thereby forming a scientific and rational perspective on color art. Through a composite training approach centered on classroom drawing instruction, supplemented by outdoor painting and analysis of masterpieces, students gradually develop a sense and understanding of light and color phenomena. This enables them to enhance their ability to depict subjects in depth and to highly summarize and generalize color expressions, ultimately achieving a relatively proficient use of color and the ability to paint in various ways.
Teaching Requirements:
1. Break down color-related issues into progressive color topics, implementing a phased teaching approach centered around these topics. Through targeted drawing exercises for different subjects, improve students' color (plastic) skills and their ability to depict subjects in depth.
2. Through the appreciation, copying, and study of famous works, understand the relationship between different color concepts and painting style evolution in the history of painting, enhancing students' artistic literacy. The dialogue with masters also stimulates students' artistic potential and individuality.
3. Understand and master the basic methods and general steps of still-life, portrait, and landscape painting in color. Train students to use various color painting tools and materials, laying a solid foundation in color painting theory and skills.
