Words from the Writer: Zhao Bingbo, although I belong to the Rooster zodiac, I never crow, and I love sleeping in. I stay up late at night writing fairy tales. Besides writing fairy tales, I can’t do anything else. I lose at chess every time, get drunk after one cup of alcohol, and forget English words I memorize in the morning by the afternoon. I’m very foolish. Some people say, "Bingbo, you’re only smart when you’re writing fairy tales." I think, "That’s not enough. Why don’t you try it and see how hard fairy tales are to write."
Words from the Illustrator: Miao Wei, I’ve loved watching the summer night sky since I was a child, imagining the stars as precious gems embedded in a blue velvet cloth. I still love looking at the summer night sky today, my mind filled with childhood fantasies. In my free time, I draw them on paper, and that’s how you see these illustrations now. Do you like them, kids?
