Features: The cultural attributes of Chinese film and television aesthetics are deeply marked by traditional Chinese culture while also incorporating the contemporary colors and spirit of global aesthetics. Compared to the booming film and television creation, the development of Chinese film and television aesthetics still remains in its early stages. Most of Chinese film and television aesthetics are translations and introductions of Western theories, with few original achievements. The practice often takes the lead while theory lags behind, becoming a chronic issue in the Chinese film and television industry.
