Features: The Selected Ensemble and Solo Pieces for Chinese Traditional Music is a series of books, currently featuring three volumes. The first volume is a traditional music album, the second is a collection of composed or arranged pieces, and the third is a foreign music album. Each volume contains ten pieces, including ensemble performances, small ensembles, and solo works. In the future, additional volumes will be published as needed. This volume is the second in the Selected Ensemble and Solo Pieces for Chinese Traditional Music series—the collection of composed and arranged pieces. It includes ten pieces by six composers: Gu Guoren, Zhou Chenglong, Zeng Jiaging, Peng Zhengyuan, Xu Guoping, and Cao Jianhui. Some of these works have won national awards, including the Best Composition Award at the Shanghai Student Art Festival and the Shanghai "October Singing Festival" instrumental competition, while others are newly composed pieces. They cover a wide range of styles and are highly representative and practical. To facilitate adoption by various amateur ensembles, a variety of ensemble combinations and solo forms have been selected, which also reflects the diverse and vibrant nature of Chinese music performance styles.
