Features: Table-driven encoding is an information code promoted by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) among its member states for information transmission and data exchange. It reflects the overall picture of meteorological information, adapts to high-speed circuit transmission and computer processing, and has thus been widely used in meteorological operations and scientific research. Currently, table-driven encoded meteorological data has become an important component of the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) for data transmission. In the future, whether it is the GTS or domestic communication systems, the transmission and exchange of table-driven encoded data will see significant development. This book introduces the transition plan proposed by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) for meteorological data encoding to table-driven encoding; it provides detailed explanations of BUFR encoding tables, as well as encoding tables for GRIB version 1 and GRIB version 2 formats, and CREX encoding tables. It also covers public tables. This book is a reference for professionals engaged in meteorological operations, meteorological scientific research, atmospheric observation, meteorological communication transmission, and meteorological data processing.
