Since the late 20th century, the integration of science and technology with the economy, society, and the globalization of economic and technological competition, as well as the informatization and networking of scientific and technological and artistic exchanges, have become increasingly prominent. Against this backdrop, as the phenomenon of achieving scientific and technological creativity in group form gains worldwide attention, research on group creativity in creative psychology has also emerged as a new direction with broad prospects.
If assessing individual creativity is primarily driven by the needs of implementing creative education, developing people's creative potential, and cultivating creative talents; then assessing the creative competence of scientific and technological groups is even more important for enhancing scientific and technological competitiveness by strengthening scientific research management and improving the scientificity of research management.
Our research on constructing an assessment model for the creative competence of scientific and technological groups and the achievements obtained not only hold practical significance for the understanding of the regularities of group creativity, as well as the disciplinary or theoretical development of management science and creative studies, but more importantly, they provide an operational indicator system and theoretical tools for decision-makers in various levels of scientific research management in our country. These tools can be used to predict and evaluate the creative competence of scientific and technological groups, thereby enhancing the scientificity of research decision-making and management.
