Features: This travelogue is divided into three parts: driving across the western United States, from Tibet to Nepal, and Zhangjiajie, Xiangxi, and Guilin, in chronological order from 2002 to 2004. For me, travel has always been synonymous with dreams. When I need dreams, I travel. I have passed through many places, encountered many people and events. Specific to a certain year, month, and day, my sensitivity to time makes me cherish them, and I have specially marked their occurrence. At a certain point in time, that person and that event existed, and time was thus determined. I can recall every detail of those fleeting moments, every chapter, every flavor, as if returning through a time tunnel. Considering that readers may be interested in what happened where, I have listed them one by one in the titles. What is truly precious is those who have appeared in my life and may never appear again, or those I meet but do not recognize. We have met, and then missed each other. In the sea of people, I can clearly feel this—seemingly a mysterious connection that brings me to him, who is somewhere unknown, or brings him to me—how closely our connection is, though unattainable. This has not brought me sorrow. When I close my eyes and stand at the top of the spinning world, I enjoy a dizzying sense of past and future. We have touched so truly, sometimes I feel you have dissipated, and sometimes you magically draw near, as if right beside me. I wish to express this light, air-like nostalgia, feeling that you are in my breath.
