Given the limited study hours of vocational students, this book does not delve into the mathematical derivation of commonly used statistical calculation formulas. Instead, it explains through practical case studies how these formulas can solve certain problems and how to solve them, enabling students to digest, understand, and master the computational methods taught in each chapter.
The content arrangement of this book also has unique aspects: It treats association analysis as a separate chapter, introducing methods for analyzing the relationships between two qualitative variables and two quantitative variables. In time series analysis, it covers exponential smoothing methods, which are not typically included in introductory statistics textbooks. This approach not only expands the traditional content of time series analysis but also lays the foundation for future study of modern time series methods.
