Features: Since the third edition of the "Standards for Petroleum and Petrochemical Products" was published in 1998, it has been seven years. Over these seven years, some standards have been reviewed and revised, while others have been cleared and abolished. Meanwhile, new product standards have been continuously released and implemented. Therefore, production and sales enterprises of petroleum and petrochemical products, scientific research and teaching institutions, as well as users of the products, eagerly expect the publication of a new standards compilation. To meet the needs of all parties, Sinopec Technology Development has organized relevant standardization technical units to edit and publish the "Standards for Petroleum Products." This compilation includes a total of 128 petroleum product industry standards issued by the end of December 2004. The arrangement is divided into seventeen major categories based on product specialization, and each category is arranged by standard number for convenience of use. This compilation does not include the national standards for petroleum and petrochemical products, which are separately compiled and published. According to the results of the review of mandatory industry standards in 2002, this compilation modifies the attribute of 36 standards, such as SH0001-90, from mandatory to recommended (see appendix). The compilation explains changes in test method standards referenced in standards that have not yet been reviewed in the form of editor's notes.
