Features: With the continuous improvement of the construction management system and the growing standardization of the construction market, to fully achieve the professionalization of technical management personnel, the Ministry of Construction decided to implement the Construction Manager Qualification System for professional technicians engaged in the general contracting and construction management of construction projects nationwide in 2004. The first-level and second-level construction manager examination syllabi and textbooks were published and issued in May and October 2004, respectively, and the examination work for both levels was organized in 2005. A construction manager is a registered professional who relies on professional technology and focuses on engineering project management. After being employed, a construction manager can serve as a project manager for construction project general contracting or construction management and engage in other business activities stipulated by laws, regulations, or the competent administrative department for construction under the State Council. To improve the quality of project managers and ensure project quality, the Ministry of Construction stipulates that the project managers of large and medium-sized construction projects in China must be construction managers who have obtained the registration qualification. Especially after the alignment with the World Trade Organization (WTO) in the construction industry in 2005, higher requirements will be placed on the professional work of project managers, and the construction manager qualification will become the dominant direction of project management qualifications. The examination work has attracted great attention from the basic construction industry. Without sufficient qualified personnel, enterprises will face restrictions in bidding, project contracting, and market access. Therefore, this work is not only a competition for talent but more importantly, a competition for enterprises and market competition.

The "Examination Suggestions" section proposes possible examination methods and approaches based on the textbook content, including key terms, options, and single and multiple-choice questions, and evaluates or highlights the key points of the content for review. The "Typical Examples" section mainly forms examples in the style of standard examination questions based on key examination points and main knowledge points, serving to illustrate broader principles and facilitate understanding. The volume of questions is determined by the principle of covering the key points.
The Construction Manager Qualification Examination requires candidates not only to have a solid foundation in professional theory and practice but also to possess the ability to flexibly apply and skillfully use the knowledge learned to solve practical problems, while also accurately grasping the "Examination Textbook" and quickly adapting to the examination, with good psychological qualities for exams. This book is designed with these aspects in mind. By accurately grasping the key knowledge points in the "Examination Textbook," it summarizes the examination information required by the syllabus. To facilitate candidates in corresponding their review to the "Examination Textbook," the content order of this book is completely consistent with that of the "Examination Textbook," greatly facilitating candidates' reference and comparison.
