Features: This is a practical guide for Chinese lawyers that presents a brand-new professional philosophy. As a book for legal practice, its approach and writing style are distinctly different from the common legal practice books in China. It emphasizes telling readers how to perform each aspect of their legal work to achieve the best results. Each book is easy to understand but contains the profound insights and perfect summaries of the author as a seasoned industry professional, highly summarizing the general principles, concepts, and detailed experiences of legal practice. It does not reject or overlook any details in the process and cites a large number of facts and survey results, fully demonstrating the author's rich professional experience and solid business expertise. We believe readers will deeply feel this as they read. Additionally, the preface or introduction of each book is also a part that every reader should not overlook, as it tells you what each book can bring you. Read these parts carefully, and we believe readers will develop an interest in this series. If they are still not enough to attract you, when you spend more effort carefully reading the entire book and are willing to reflect on its content, we are confident it will inspire you. This series of books was personally selected and provided to our publishing house by the American Bar Association, so this series can be said to be highly recognized by the American Bar Association, and it has achieved authoritative sales results in the United States. Perhaps readers may worry that the content of the book is irrelevant to domestic legal practice. We have already noticed this point during the translation, and the book "Going to Court" has omitted content completely unrelated to the domestic trial process. However, this series of books hopes to bring domestic readers new ideas and methods for practicing law. If your interest lies in this, then the existing content will be helpful to you. Regular exchanges with lawyers who have had extensive experience in various aspects of the legal industry have given us a lot of information reflecting the relationship between legal practice and job satisfaction. We have come to believe that the truly happy lawyers are the type most law firms hope to retain: the lawyers who are "hard to replace, highly efficient, and highly valuable," i.e., the ones we call "excellent lawyers." Fully utilizing the resources of the law firm to train and develop lawyers not only increases lawyer satisfaction but also makes the law firm more successful, allows lawyers to work more peacefully and confidently, and makes clients more loyal. Although training for lawyers is often conducted within many law firms, this training is usually extensive legal training and rarely includes the following content: specialized training, client needs, industry etiquette, litigation, work-life balance, career planning, career challenges, and similar issues. Many law firms use internal learning to help lawyers complete their legal continuing education, but it should be noted that this training is targeted at the group of lawyers rather than individual lawyers. Through numerous lawyer organizations, whether law firms, legal departments, or legal agencies, the efforts made in training and inspiring lawyers to "apply their wisdom" are minimal. The "best strategy" we refer to is to explore such goals. Determining each stage of a lawyer's career development is the first step in successful career planning. Every lawyer should have a successful, interesting, fulfilling, and challenging career, of course, without violating professional ethics or betraying the law firm they are currently with. This requires planning and diligence. We are confident that all law firms aim to become the "best law firms," naturally including training the "best lawyers." Such law firms provide the best conditions for their lawyers to become the best. When every lawyer is satisfied and believes that the law firm they currently work for is one of the best, retaining good lawyers will no longer be an issue. We are striving to successfully develop our business. In our struggle, there have been various tests, mistakes, successes, and satisfactions. Through these, we believe most lawyers have formed certain views on their work and law firms, although there are many dissatisfactions, frustrations, and negative examples from the legal industry and law firms. However, all of this can be understood. When many lawyers tell us about their struggles to find job satisfaction in law firms, we established a consulting firm that provides advice to law firms on how to keep lawyers working stably, and this firm has grown. This struggle to find job satisfaction can last for many years. Reality is reality. When lawyers find that their efforts to find job satisfaction are futile, and when various problems arise from the industry and law firms, they will eventually choose to resign. Our personal success and the construction of our professional work have told us: "happy lawyers" are not contradictory. We hope this book can help individual lawyers and law firms correctly understand this issue and focus on improving lawyer job satisfaction. We believe it is time to recognize and truly understand the concepts of "satisfaction" and "happy lawyers." We sincerely hope that the suggestions and strategies mentioned in this book can effectively change and improve lawyers' job satisfaction and enable them to serve society with the greatest passion.
