There are works of both considerable difficulty and depth, as well as more accessible and easy-to-learn pieces, all of which are representative and practical. To facilitate adoption by various Chinese traditional music ensembles, four different ensemble combinations—Chinese traditional music ensemble, small Chinese traditional music ensemble, plucked instrument ensemble, and Ruan instrument ensemble—along with the Guzheng quartet, are selected. This also reflects the diverse and flourishing forms of Chinese traditional music performance.
