Features: Since the detective novels in Japan began with Seigo Matsumoto, there has been a subgenre of socially conscious mystery novels. It seems that the "social mystery novel" style, which emphasizes thoughtfulness, has also influenced children's detective fiction. In The Terror Child King, as the story unfolds with Xiaojian getting involved in the fatal incident of the "Child King" to save his friend Youye, it portrays the hidden psychology of children as they explore the unknown and the regret of Xiaojian, who, despite his efforts to save his friend, ultimately loses him. Understanding the complexity of human nature, Xiaojian takes a step forward in his growth. In The Dark God, the story revolves around the competition for inheritance, where through the plot of Xiaojian's father considering abandoning the competition for the inheritance, children are guided to think about the relationship between money and the value of life. Xiaojian and Youye are good friends. Youye dislikes going to school and often takes sick leave to stay home and read, so he makes up many stories. One time, he told Xiaojian a story called The Terror Child King. To Xiaojian's surprise, he actually saw the figure of this fierce "Child King" in his residential community. When he told this discovery to his good friend, Youye was so scared that he screamed. To protect his friend, the brave Xiaojian independently launched a secret plan.
