Features: The current state of capitalism and its development and changes in the contemporary era have always been a subject of close attention for us. However, the situation differs before and after the shift in the theme of the times: when peace and development become the theme of the era, and we firmly implement the policy of opening up and build socialism with Chinese characteristics, we must not only overcome the one-sided view of absolutely opposing capitalism and socialism but also boldly learn from and draw on all the civilized achievements created by contemporary humanity under the capitalist system to build a socialism superior to capitalism. At the same time, we must remain vigilant against the plots of Western hostile forces to Westernize and divide us, and consolidate and develop socialism. This makes the urgent task of comprehensively and scientifically studying and understanding the new changes in contemporary capitalism more pressing. In the continuous process of observation and research over the past decade, I have reflected on the methodology of how to understand the new changes in contemporary capitalism and incorporated these thoughts as guiding principles throughout this book New Changes in Contemporary Capitalism: First, combine history with reality, practice with thought; second, distinguish and connect the different levels and aspects of complex phenomena to grasp their significance comprehensively and accurately; third, detach the civilized achievements created by contemporary humanity in capitalist society from the political and ideological intentions imposed by the bourgeoisie and treat them differently; fourth, grasp the "difference" within the "similarity" and the "similarity" within the "difference"; fifth, boldly learn from and draw on the civilized achievements contained in the new changes of contemporary capitalism while clearly demarcating the fundamental principles that distinguish socialism from capitalism; sixth, in the process of observing and researching the new changes in contemporary capitalism, adhere to the guidance of the basic theories of Marxism while striving to explore new answers that align with the spirit of the times and objective reality in addressing the analyzed issues.
