Famous figures and experts in the field of English discuss reading:
Dry English sentences are not effective; do not always focus on improving English as the sole purpose of reading. Reading is primarily about absorbing knowledge, and in the process of absorbing knowledge, language is naturally absorbed. Thinking in English is a goal many English learners aspire to achieve, as it is the foundation for expressing ideas fluently in English. For Chinese students living in a non-English environment, it is indeed challenging to think partly or entirely in English, but it is not an unattainable goal. From my own experience learning English, I have found that persistent extensive reading is one of the most effective ways to achieve this goal. For intermediate and advanced English learners, I especially recommend English easy readers. The materials should be simple and easy to understand, with strong storytelling elements. Read as quickly as possible, and the more you read, the better. This is a proven and effective method for learning English. The works included in this series are all worth reading in your lifetime. Reading these works not only improves your English proficiency but also enhances your personal cultivation.

High-Quality Audio Accompaniment: This allows you to practice listening after reading. Please note that reading requires a certain amount of exposure, and listening requires even more. Extensive audio input is the source of in-depth English conversations. This series is designed for leisure reading after class or work. Its advantage is helping you integrate English learning into your daily life, making English a part of your life. This is the true essence of English success, and more importantly, the essence of success in any challenging endeavor.
Synopsis: The Phantom of the Opera tells a mysterious and tragic love story set in the Paris Opera House in the 19th century. Christina was originally a little actress in the troupe, but by chance, she replaced the lead actress on stage. Her angelic, beautiful singing was warmly welcomed by the audience and also caught the attention of her childhood friend, the handsome and wealthy Count Raoul. It turned out that a mysterious teacher had secretly been teaching Christina singing. This teacher, whom Christina calls the "Angel of Music," is actually the feared "Phantom of the Opera" who is whispered about in the Paris Opera House. The Phantom's real name is Erik, a genius who combines the talents of a musician, architect, and magician. However, unfortunately, his disfigured face has made him the target of public disdain, forcing him to wear a mask and live in the labyrinthine basement of the Paris Opera House, becoming the legendary Phantom who is both human and ghost.
