Features: This book is dedicated to being practical, effective, and highlighting the clinical characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its content has the following four main features: 1. It does not aim for comprehensiveness but focuses on precision; 2. The sources of information are reliable, and the prescriptions have proven efficacy; 3. The formulations are rigorous, ensuring the unity of theory, method, prescription, and medicine; 4. The combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation not only aligns with the condition but also allows for clinical modifications to enhance therapeutic effects. The book follows a structure organized by diseases as the main categories and prescriptions as the subcategories. According to modern medical disease classification, it is divided into Internal Medicine, Male Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Dermatology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, and Oncology, covering 152 common and frequently occurring diseases, with over 800 prescriptions. Under each disease, an overview, syndromes, and treatment methods are listed first, followed by various effective prescriptions. Each prescription is described in eight sections: name of the prescription, composition, preparation and usage, function and indications, clinical applications, precautions, source of information, and remarks. All sections are designed with clinical practicality in mind. For original prescriptions without a name, one is created to highlight the function or therapeutic characteristics of the medicine. For original prescriptions without dosage, conventional dosages are added for clinical reference. This book is primarily aimed at a broad readership of TCM practitioners, integrated Chinese and Western medicine clinicians, and patients. It is also a reference book for TCM teaching and research workers.
