Features: Sun Guoting (648-703), styled Qianli. He was a native of Wu County, Jiangsu. He held the position of Shufu Lushi Canjun. Sun Guoting was known for his "love of ancient culture, broad knowledge, and skill in literary composition, gaining fame in calligraphy." Shupu was written and inscribed by Sun Guoting. It is a highly artistic calligraphy theory work and a great masterpiece of calligraphy characterized by "freestyle and natural charm." Zhu Lüzheng praised in Shuxue Jieyao: "Reading Sun Qianli's Shupu is intricate, detailed, practical, and passionate, embodying the essential principles of calligraphy in ancient and modern times." His cursive script is strictly standardized, serving as a model for later generations to learn from.
