To meet the needs of the National Judicial Examination and based on the requests of numerous candidates, we have compiled and published this set of "National Judicial Examination Guidance Books" (2003 Edition). During the writing process, we strived to reflect and embody the characteristics of the National Judicial Examination, while ensuring the scientificity and systematic nature of the disciplines. We also emphasized the integration of fundamental legal theories and legal practice, systematically explaining the core theories of each subject in combination with practical applications, making it highly instructive and applicable.
In terms of format and content arrangement, to facilitate candidates' review and preparation, this set of books is divided into three volumes based on the content scope of the Judicial Examination papers. They are as follows:
Volume I includes Jurisprudence, Legal History, Constitution, Economic Law, International Law, Private International Law, International Economic Law, and Legal Ethics;
Volume II includes Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law;
Volume III includes Civil Law, Commercial Law, Civil Procedure Law, and Arbitration System.
Additionally, we have compiled "2003 National Judicial Examination Legal and Regulatory Compilation" (up to April 30, 2003). The 2003 National Judicial Examination questions will be based on this set of guidance books and the current legal and regulatory compilation. Candidates using this set of books should pay attention to mastering and understanding the relevant laws, regulations, and judicial interpretations.
This set of books was organized and compiled by the National Judicial Examination Center of the Ministry of Justice, with contributions from renowned scholars and experts from universities and institutions such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Wuhan University, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, College of Foreign Affairs, and Beijing Hanhua Law Firm, among others. After the initial drafts were completed, they were reviewed and approved by senior scholars in the legal field. These experts and scholars have heavy teaching and research responsibilities, and they have dedicated their wisdom and hard work to the publication of this set of books. We express our heartfelt gratitude to them.
During the compilation process, this set of books received strong support and assistance from the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the All-China Lawyers' Association, and the aforementioned institutions.
