The key revisions in this edition are as follows:
(1) Based on the practical development of China's real estate industry in recent years and the emerging new issues, the second section of Chapter 1, "Overview of China's Real Estate Industry and Existing Problems," has been rewritten. Considering the close relationship between real estate law and property law, the content "The Relationship Between Real Estate Law and Property Law" has been added to the third section.
(2) According to the latest developments in China's residential property transfer system, the second section of Chapter 5 has been supplemented with "Legal Systems for the Transfer of Purchased Public Housing and Economically Affordable Housing."
(3) Based on the "Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court on Applying Laws to Cases of Disputes Over the Purchase and Sale of Residential Property Contracts," which took effect on June 1, 2003, the content of this interpretation has been added to Chapter 5.
(4) According to the "Property Management Regulations," which came into effect on September 1, 2003, the chapter "Legal System of Property Management" has been comprehensively revised.
