Tax planning is an inherent component of enterprise management and cannot be discussed in isolation from the overall corporate strategy. Planning must align with the company's overall strategy. Successful planning relies on theoretical guidance, which must be combined with practical issues of the enterprise. Seeking individualized solutions for each business within the context of common principles is what we refer to as "viewing planning through the third eye." — China Tax News
The book is divided into three main parts (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) and an appendix. The three main parts constitute the core of the book, while the appendix provides supplementary content.
Part 1:
Drawing on the new developments in economics and management, this part primarily studies the rules of tax planning, integrating cutting-edge advancements in economics, management, financial accounting, and China's tax system. From perspectives such as the economic viewpoint, strategic thinking, information foundation, risk management, corporate governance framework, and principal-agent theory, it explores the relationship between tax planning and the environment, as well as how to establish tax planning rule models under environmental constraints. It also analyzes the connections between tax planning and the Window Theory, MM Theory, Coase Theorem, and Game Theory, examining the operational rules of tax planning from a connected and developmental perspective, and perceiving the essence of planning through novel and distinctive lenses.
Part 2:
This is the core of the book, focusing on the eight rules and 28 planning techniques of tax planning. Planning rules are somewhat abstract, representing a mode of planning thinking and guidance, while planning techniques are path-dependent, involving specific operational methods. To facilitate readers' comprehension and mastery, for each planning rule, the author elaborates on three aspects: "operational principles," "planning techniques," and "case analysis." This aligns with the logical progression of understanding. The "operational principles" and "planning techniques" sections present conclusions derived from inductive reasoning, adopting a straightforward and concise style to avoid the dryness and lengthiness of theoretical discussions. The "case analysis" section selects 100 practical cases, serving as a microcosm of the application of deductive reasoning in practice. These cases can also be regarded as special instances contributing to the formation of inductive conclusions.
Part 3:
This part primarily evaluates comprehensive cases, embedding the eight rules and 28 planning techniques within them to deepen the understanding and application of planning techniques in practical operations. To avoid repetition with the "case analysis" section in Part 2, the cases in Part 3 exhibit three distinct features:
1. Cases are combined with evaluations, further elevating tax planning cases.
2. Cases are highly comprehensive and cover various aspects of a business, employing a systematic approach to study planning rules while considering the interconnections and transitions between planning methods and techniques.
3. Cases are categorized by industry, ensuring that planning accounts for industry characteristics—a development trend in tax planning. Due to space constraints, only comprehensive planning cases from seven industries—manufacturing, circulation, real estate, construction, and foreign trade—are selected here.
The appendix is divided into two parts:
Part 1:
This section selects 20 small planning cases, most of which are of practical tax issues. Readers can engage in "paper battles" here, familiarizing themselves with the rules, mastering the techniques, and inspiring their thinking through this "game-like" participation.
Part 2:
This section introduces China's current tax policies and systems, offering an overall perspective on the tax system and studying and tracking its reforms.
