Features: The core cities of the Yangtze River Delta covered in this book refer to 15 cities excluding Taizhou. The GDP, industrial added value, foreign trade export volume, fixed asset investment, foreign capital utilization, and total social consumer goods retail sales of these 15 cities account for more than 80% of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. Due to the above reasons and considering administrative divisions and data collection uniformity, the Yangtze River Delta data in this book primarily refers to these two provinces and one municipality. The book is divided into three parts: The first part describes the economic status of the Yangtze River Delta in China and identifies the top 10 competitive industries in the region based on market share. The second part provides a general overview of the top 10 competitive industries in the Yangtze River Delta from three aspects: industrial layout, development overview, and key enterprises. The third part briefly summarizes the characteristics and trends of regional economic development in the Yangtze River Delta. When the book was compiled, the full-year data for 2004 had not yet been released, and the 2004 data used in the book is based on figures up to the first half of the year.
