Features: This book is a teaching auxiliary material designed to accompany the textbook "Quantum Mechanics and Atomic Physics" that we edited. Following the structure of that textbook, this book is divided into the same eleven chapters, with each chapter further divided into three parts. The first part is a summary of the content, providing a concise overview of the main points of each chapter and slightly expanding on certain sections. The second part consists of examples, with a total of 335 examples throughout the book, covering almost all the exercises in "Quantum Mechanics and Atomic Physics." Each example is accompanied by a detailed solution. The third part includes practice exercises, with a total of 196 exercises throughout the book. These exercises do not come with solutions, but answers are provided at the end of each problem. Some problems also include hints. This book has been published in the form of lecture notes by the Teaching Affairs Office of Wuhan University since 1987, divided into two volumes for the use of students to guide their study of quantum mechanics. This official publication has been supplemented with additional examples and exercises that apply quantum mechanics theory to solve problems in atomic physics. It is hoped that this book will serve as a guide and aid for students studying quantum mechanics and atomic physics.
