Features: With the increasing demand for quality of life and growing awareness of environmental protection, there are higher and newer requirements for the use of chemical pesticides, as well as more specific demands for the publicity, demonstration, and promotion of new pest and disease control technologies. To implement the national strategy for improving grain production capacity and support the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to enhance grain production, we organized the compilation of this manual, aiming to promote new control technologies and contribute to restoring grain production capacity, increasing grain yields, boosting farmers' income, and reducing losses from biological disasters. This manual introduces the occurrence, damage, and control techniques of 16 major pests and diseases in rice production in China, as well as integrated pest management techniques during critical periods such as seed treatment and panicle protection. The manual emphasizes readability and practicality, accompanied by numerous illustrations, to facilitate reference and use by and grassroots plant protection technicians for guiding the control of rice pests and diseases.
