Features: To implement the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes," and prevent secondary pollution from the storage and disposal sites of general industrial solid wastes, this standard has been formulated. This standard specifies the selection, design, operation management, semi-closure and closure, as well as pollution control and monitoring of general industrial solid waste storage and disposal sites. This is the first issuance of the standard. The standard was proposed by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the State Environmental Protection Administration. The original Anhui Ma'anshan Mining Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgy was responsible for drafting the standard. The standard was approved by the State Environmental Protection Administration on November 26, 2001. The State Environmental Protection Administration is responsible for interpreting the standard.
