Features: Proverbs are the linguistic crystallization of people's understanding of natural and social phenomena, expressed in concise and vivid language to warn, advise, and enlighten others. Similar to proverbs, folk sayings are created by the masses in productive labor and social practice. They include some idioms, allusions, and colloquialisms, among others. Although the content of folk sayings is complex, overall, they should possess characteristics such as widespread popularity, distinct oral nature, and relative fixation. Because proverbs and folk sayings have their own distinct features while also sharing certain commonalities, we have compiled and organized this collection of proverbs and folk sayings. The aim is to present these concise, vivid, and vivid expressions in a more scientific arrangement to readers, making it easier for them to read and reference. In this book, we have selected approximately 3,000 proverbs and 2,000 folk sayings, all arranged in alphabetical order by the first character's pronunciation. To facilitate retrieval, we have added stroke order and pinyin indexes. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Chen Xuemei and Ms. Chen Bailu for their significant contributions to the indexing and compilation of proverbs and folk sayings. During the editing process, we referred to a large number of published books and materials.
