Features: V. K. Arseniev led a geographical survey team to explore the primeval forests of the Ussuri River basin in Siberia. They encountered a Hezhe hunter named Dersu Uzala and asked him to guide them. The wandering hunter Dersu Uzala, as a forest hunter, possessed extraordinary abilities. He was highly alert, intimately familiar with the wilderness, able to smell the scent of animals, and distinguish human and animal tracks, etc. With his exceptional survival skills, he repeatedly helped Arseniev and his team overcome difficulties, especially when surveying the terrain of Lake Khanka, where he cleverly saved Arseniev's life. The two men forged a deep friendship during their forest exploration. Five years later, Arseniev returned for another survey and reunited with Dersu. However, Dersu had grown old, and Arseniev realized that he could no longer survive in the wilderness. He took Dersu to live in a city where he struggled to adapt to modern society. Eventually, Dersu Uzala, who belonged to nature, returned to the dense forest, but tragically died at the hands of thieves. The hunter will always belong to the magnificent Siberia. This tragedy is the ultimate compassion for an innocent, simple, and ordinary person, a lament for the life of an ordinary individual.
