Features: A sweetly depicted novel about children's lives. Anne is a poor little girl who lost both her parents at a young age and became an orphan. A kind neighbor raised her until she was six, after which she went to work for another family. Later, she was sent to an orphanage. At the age of eleven, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert adopted her from Green Gables.
Anne is naturally lively, optimistic, and has a highly imaginative personality. Her innocence and fantasies have led her into many humorous situations, but her kindness and straightforwardness have also earned her friendships and genuine love. She is intelligent and diligent, and through her own efforts, she manages to attend university. However, in order to take care of Marilla, she gives up her studies.
This is a story of an orphan growing into adulthood, simple yet splendid, filled with childhood innocence and dreams.
