Principles of Chemical Reaction Engineering

Features: This book is written in accordance with the teaching requirements of the "Training Program for Chemical Engineering and Technology" for the 21st Century issued by the Ministry of Education in April 1998. There are only minor differences in the arrangement of the content, with slight additions and deletions. Based on the introduction of fluid flow models and chemical engineering dynamics, the book primarily discusses the design and application of reactors. The main contents include: chemical reaction kinetics, residence time distribution and flow models, homogeneous reactors, gas-solid phase catalytic reaction kinetics, adiabatic fixed-bed gas-solid phase catalytic reactors, continuously heated gas-solid catalytic reactors, gas-liquid phase reactors, fluid-solid phase non-catalytic reactors, and polymerization reactors. Compared to similar domestic textbooks, this book is well-organized, up-to-date, and emphasizes the principle of "less but better," achieving better teaching effects with fewer class hours (40–80 hours). It can be used as a textbook for undergraduate (including junior college) chemical engineering majors in higher education institutions, and is also suitable for engineers and technicians engaged in production, research, and design in fields such as chemical engineering, biology, and metallurgy.
