Features: This book compiles the questionnaire analysis report and case study report of "Research on the Governance Status of China's Non-Governmental Public Sector," conducting a comprehensive study on the governance types, institutional structure, and governance effectiveness of China's non-governmental public sector. The purpose is to gain knowledge in this area and deepen the understanding of the role of non-governmental public sectors in the development of China. The book also proposes countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the development of non-governmental public sectors and improving their performance. The book argues that the greatest challenge faced by China's non-governmental public sector is decision-making. Some grassroots organizations have failed to establish a board of directors, while organizations that already have a board often fail to utilize its functions effectively. Additionally, the issue of boards becoming rubber-stamp bodies is also relatively common. Conflicts between comprehensive supervisory units are also objectively present. Under current circumstances, how can work be carried out? The core issue is that the board of directors should be composed of highly qualified individuals. Similar to the need for highly professional staff in NGOs, board members must possess professional expertise. Under these circumstances, improving the current dual management system and resolving the conflicts between the board of directors and the executive management are very meaningful for advancing good governance in China's non-profit sector. The book argues that increasingly complex globalization and deep marketization will lead humanity to face more public affairs and more severe public crises, which will be a new, unavoidable challenge for human development in the 21st century. Bad governance will exacerbate potential public crises, leading society toward instability and unrest, and guiding humanity toward disaster. Good governance will resolve potential public crises, leading humanity toward peace, prosperity, and civilization. Non-governmental public sectors play a role in promoting good governance.
