Features: The "Silk Road," symbolizing the cultural and economic exchange and friendly relations between China and the West in ancient times, is a splendid ribbon woven by the history, civilization, and wisdom of China. Dunhuang cave art is a dazzling pearl on this ribbon. Through this book, we hope to awaken more intellectuals to the importance of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and encourage contemporary decorative design professionals to recognize that "it's time to infuse some Dunhuang elements into design." Dunhuang is a national-level historical and cultural city with a history of over two thousand years. It is a major frontier fortress where the Hexi Corridor, Qiangzhong Corridor, and the southern and northern routes of the Western Regions meet on the Silk Road. Heading northeast from Dunhuang through Anxi leads to the Hexi Highway to the Central Plains; heading west out of Yangguan along the southern route of the Western Regions connects to Ruqiang County in Xinjiang; heading northwest out of Yumen Pass along the northern route of the Western Regions leads to Hami and Lop Nur; and heading south through Aksai Kazakh Autonomous County, crossing the Altun Mountains, leads directly to in Qinghai Province.
