Features: The "China Enterprise Forum" organized by the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University invites renowned scholars from the domestic and international economic community to discuss cutting-edge issues in corporate management. These discussions range from macro issues such as system reform to micro topics like executive compensation design. The "China Enterprise Forum" is a closed, membership-based forum and is not open to the public. Each member company is limited to a maximum of three participants per session (including CEOs and deputy CEOs). The core member companies of the forum include first-class domestic enterprises such as Huanyuan Group, Wantong Group Feng Lun, Capital Group, China Resources Group, Vanke Co., Ltd., Li-Ning Sports Products Co., Ltd., Lenovo Group, and BaDa QingNiao.
The expert team of the "China Enterprise Forum" is strong, including well-known professors from Peking University's Guanghua School of Management, Yangtze Business School, China University of Political Science and Law, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Additionally, the forum has invited distinguished scholars from Harvard University, Yale University, the University of California, Berkeley, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, as well as senior executives from companies like IBM and Citibank to serve as keynote speakers.
Each theme of the "China Enterprise Forum" is carefully selected based on the forefront of academic research and the practical concerns of member companies. By the end of 2003, the forum had discussed topics including: the theory and practice of corporate governance structures; the compensation design for senior executives; corporate ownership reform; the relationship between markets and governments; strategic design and performance evaluation in the era of globalization; corporate core competitiveness and branding; corporate diversification and specialization; social trust and corporate growth; technological advancement and management innovation; corporate leadership behavior and art in the Chinese context; and management and organization from a historical perspective.
This series of books compiles the content of the forum over two years, divided into three volumes: System and Efficiency, Management and Competitiveness, and Incentives and Leadership Art. The publication of this series enables ordinary readers to gain a detailed understanding of cutting-edge topics in corporate management, the insightful analyses of top international scholars on these issues, and the diverse approaches adopted by domestic and international companies in addressing common challenges in management.
