Features: After China's entry into the WTO, its integration with the global economy has deepened further. A large volume of goods made in China has flowed to markets worldwide, and the market share of Chinese products in the global market has been continuously increasing. At the same time, the Chinese market itself has expanded due to rising national income. With the increase in foreign direct investment, the flow of various resources and products to China has also significantly expanded. As China gradually becomes one of the world's largest trading nations, its domestic and international transportation capabilities are rapidly improving, and the information industry is also developing rapidly. Therefore, the development of the modern logistics industry is inevitable. In this sense, the transformation of China's traditional transportation industry into a modern logistics industry is an urgent task. China's high-speed development period came after that of Western developed countries. Therefore, when China's transportation industry transitions to a modern logistics industry, it can fully learn from the experience of many countries in logistics development. Our logistics industry started relatively late, and logistics education has lagged behind. The development of modern logistics has created a huge demand for logistics talent, making it urgent to establish a reasonable knowledge structure that meets China's actual needs on the basis of learning from foreign logistics education experience, in order to cultivate qualified talent that meets the development needs of China's logistics industry. To this end, we have written the book "Logistics Cost Management" based on the basic knowledge system of logistics, with practicality and operability as the primary goals. We strive to introduce the general operational methods and management techniques of modern logistics cost management to readers in an easy-to-understand manner. This book fully incorporates the latest achievements and technologies from current logistics theory and practice, making it forward-looking. It particularly emphasizes the connection between theory and practice, with the selected logistics cases being quite typical. Additionally, it extensively uses charts and other visual forms, making it highly operational. "Logistics Cost Management" is divided into 8 chapters, mainly introducing the main functional links and processes in corporate logistics cost management, including production, wholesale, retail, procurement, transportation, inventory, loading and unloading, and distribution cost management. The writing (division of labor) is as follows: Ni Fengqin wrote Chapters 1, 2, and 6; Zhang Zheng wrote Chapter 3; Xie Wanjian wrote Chapter 4; Shi Jue wrote Chapter 5; Wang Xuecheng and Zhang Lin wrote Chapter 7; and Zhou Min wrote Chapter 8. The entire book was compiled and edited by Ni Fengqin. During the writing process, we referred to and cited domestic and international logistics monographs and related materials. Here, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the experts and scholars who provided assistance. Due to our limited expertise, errors are inevitable, and we sincerely welcome readers' corrections. To facilitate teaching, this book is also accompanied by an electronic teaching reference package, including a teaching guide, electronic lesson plans, and answer keys (in electronic format). Teachers in need of this package can log in to the Huaxin Education Resources Network (http://www.hxedu.com.cn) to download it or contact the Electronics Industry Press for free provision.
