Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes that diabetes, in terms of its etiology and symptom manifestations, is similar to TCM's syndrome of diabetes mellitus. The key to treatment lies in recognizing the symptoms. This book addresses this issue in detail, starting from the TCM theory of zang-fu organ and qi-blood differentiation, step by step, unraveling and clarifying the relationship between the etiology of diabetes and the qi-blood of zang-fu organs, thereby concluding that diabetes is a condition that can be completely cured with traditional Chinese medicine. Similarly, hyperlipidemia and hypertension can also be cured in this way.
I. The author believes: In ancient TCM literature, the term "xiao ke" (syndrome of diabetes mellitus) refers only to a symptom of thirst, i.e., the symptom. "Xiao dan" is a disease characterized by "xiao" (destruction), which can affect the five zang-fu organs, skin, blood vessels, and nervous system. Thus, the path to treating diabetes with traditional Chinese medicine is found.
II. The author believes: Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes can be classified into insulin secretion defect type and insulin resistance type in terms of treatment.
III. The author believes: Diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia all involve insulin resistance, i.e., hyperinsulinemia.
IV. The author believes: These three major conditions each have their own disease-related genetic factors. Insulin resistance can only induce the disease when these disease-related genetic factors are present.
