Figures like Cai Lun, who improved papermaking technology, Bi Lan, who invented the wheelbarrow and water scoop, and Zheng He, who led seven voyages to the Western Oceans, are more than worthy of inclusion in the ranks of outstanding historical figures of the Chinese nation without any shame.
