An odd incident occurred at Shanghai S Art Museum: During the closing of an exhibition, when the 50 displayed paintings were counted, an extra one was found. This unidentified painting had no author's signature. It depicted a dental clinic, with a masked female dentist sitting on the windowsill, looking thoughtfully at the world outside the frame. The museum's Director Chen secretly took this extra painting for himself and hung it at home. A few days later, the respected Director Chen suddenly became mentally unstable, ran naked in public, and was sent to a mental institution.
As a private collection of Director Chen, the painting was put up for auction and sold at a low price. It changed hands several times afterward. Anyone who came into contact with the painting would receive a mysterious text message, demanding that the recipient do something crazy within 12 hours. Some complied obediently, while others ignored it, thinking it was a prank.
The result was that at midnight, the female dentist in the painting slowly removed her mask, revealing her face.
