Features: Lei Hong's contributions to the art of watercolor, particularly in color expression, have provided significant inspiration to the contemporary Chinese art scene. His color art has opened a gateway to the national Eastern imagery system. Unfortunately, he passed away too early and too suddenly. Otherwise, this talented colorist painter would undoubtedly have made even greater contributions. The works in this catalog include pieces from different periods of his career, some late works, and even those that have not yet been named. Among them is one of his final works, tentatively titled "Blue Imagery." This later won a special award at the "Chinese Watercolor Exhibition." It was created by Lei Hong as an experiment with a new method using cloth to paint a larger work. He passed away in a car accident eight hours after completing the painting. Ten years later, rereading Lei Hong's works, one seems to see again a cheerful and passionate Lei Hong, using the language of beautiful colors to move us, through the flames-like burning colors, the sapphire-like shimmering light, and the dynamic brushstrokes, in these emotional material carriers. Perhaps this is where a true artist can achieve immortality.
