Features: Lei Hong's contributions to the art of watercolor, particularly in color expression, have provided significant inspirational insights for the contemporary Chinese art scene. His color art has opened a gateway to the national Eastern imagery system. Unfortunately, he passed away too early and too suddenly; otherwise, this talented color painter would undoubtedly have made even greater contributions. The works in this catalog include pieces from different periods of his career, some late works, and even those yet to be named. Among them is one of his final works, tentatively titled "Blue Imagery." This later won a special award at the "China Watercolor Painting Exhibition." It was created by Lei Hong as an experiment with a new method using cloth to paint a larger work. He passed away eight hours after completing the painting in a car accident. Ten years later, rereading Lei Hong's works, one seems to see again a cheerful and passionate Lei Hong, using the language of beautiful colors to move us, through the fiery colors that burn like flames, the sapphire-like shimmering light, and the dynamic, surging brushstrokes. In these emotional physical manifestations, one faintly glimpses a radiant Lei Hong speaking movingly to us. Perhaps this is where a true artist can achieve immortality.
