Features: The basic guiding principles for establishing this series of financial and accounting books are as follows:
First, adhere to international practices, learn from and absorb the strengths of similar textbooks from developed countries, and combine them with China's national conditions and practices, while balancing forward-thinking and practicality. Second, establish a complete textbook system, primarily suitable for undergraduate and graduate students, which can also be appropriately simplified for specialized courses. Third, since this textbook is independent and has a complete system, there will inevitably be varying degrees of repetition with related content in other textbooks. The solution is to coordinate the inter-course connections during teaching to minimize repetition between courses. The structure of this series can be summarized as "two series" and "three levels." The two series refer to: (1) Accounting Series; (2) Finance Series. The three levels refer to: (1) Core Foundational Level, including textbooks for major foundational courses in each series; (2) Horizontal Expansion Level, including textbooks for various practical courses; (3) Vertical Extension Level, which is suitable for advanced theoretical courses for graduate students. This book is written from the perspective of modern corporate financial management, based on the principle of combining theory with practice. It provides a detailed and comprehensive introduction to the theories, methods, and policies of modern financial management, covering aspects such as corporate investment, corporate financing, profit distribution, working capital management, and financial analysis. In terms of corporate investment, the book discusses and explains the determination and evaluation of the time value of money and risk value, with a focus on introducing modern investment theories such as the portfolio theory and the capital asset pricing model. It also provides a detailed discussion of various investment decision-making methods and their applications. In terms of corporate financing and profit distribution, the book elaborates on the characteristics, application, and cost estimation of various financing methods such as issuing stocks, bonds, and bank loans, as well as providing a detailed explanation of modern financial theories such as the MM capital structure theory and dividend policy theory. In terms of working capital management, the book provides a comprehensive discussion of the characteristics and management methods of current assets and current liabilities. Additionally, the book offers a thorough and in-depth discussion of financial statement analysis and corporate mergers and liquidation issues. This book is suitable for faculty and students of financial and accounting majors, business management majors, and economics majors in higher education institutions, as well as management personnel and financial accountants in various enterprises, staff of relevant government departments, and all individuals who wish to learn about modern financial management.
