Features: The Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Acupuncture and Tuina is one of a series of textbooks designed to train integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine professionals for grassroots and rural areas. It is primarily intended for acupuncture and tuina teaching in three-year integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine programs at higher TCM colleges and universities, and can also serve as a clinical reference for grassroots medical workers. The book is divided into three parts and eight chapters. The first part is the foundation, consisting of a general theory and a detailed discussion. The general theory covers two chapters, outlining the basic theories of meridians and acupoints, while the detailed discussion introduces commonly used meridians, acupoints, and tuina points. The second part discusses the specific techniques of acupuncture and moxibustion in two chapters. The third part is also divided into a general theory and a detailed discussion. The general theory introduces the principles of acupuncture and tuina treatment in one chapter, while the detailed discussion elaborates on the etiology, pathology, diagnosis, acupuncture and tuina treatments, as well as pediatric tuina, for common diseases. Western medical names are used for all diseases, and the content is written in an integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine format, allowing for cross-reference between Western medical names and TCM concepts. It introduces both Western and TCM etiology and pathology, explains how Western diagnoses can be treated with acupuncture, and provides corresponding tuina methods for suitable conditions. In the appendix, commonly used acupuncture and moxibustion songs and formulas are introduced to aid in memorization and learning.
