Features: Many people write love letters, but those who can write "the greatest love letter" are few and far between. This book is a compendium of "the greatest love letters." We ordinary people cannot write them, but they serve as the "model" for our love letters. Therefore, this book can be called a "textbook of love," or regarded as a "guide to love letters," "ambassador of love," and "reference point." British novelist Oscar Wilde said love letters are "banal and ordinary," but this statement is likely mistaken. Rousseau once said, "True love letters, though shared in thought, vary in style." And not just in style—there are differences in temperament, differences in human nature. From the diverse love letters, we can read the diverse lives of people. "The greatest lover" may not necessarily be "the greatest person"; but "the greatest person" is certainly or once was "the greatest lover." Voltaire, Diderot, Rousseau were such lovers; Goethe, Byron, Pushkin were such lovers; Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert were such lovers; Napoleon, Nietzsche, Tolstoy were also such lovers. Edith Wharton called love letters "beautiful companions in the monotonous and ordinary life." In one case, the author of a love letter receives a response and lives a happy life afterward; in another case, the author does not receive a response and withers away from unrequited love; in a third case, the author makes many declarations of love but is merely a player with women. The "love scene" is complex, beyond ordinary imagination. Rules can be found in the "official scene," and in the "commercial scene," but the "love scene" is the hardest. Chinese people regard "home letters" as an important educational resource, but "love letters" are excluded. This book tells you that this view is wrong. This book is suitable for literary youth or "lovers of love," admirers of celebrities or those aspiring to be famous, those who express themselves well or not, young men and women, or married and unmarried adults, both inside and outside university campuses.
