Features: Since its publication, "The Green Channel" has been reprinted multiple times to meet the needs of English learners and users. Designed and written for adult English learners, "The Green Channel" can be used in formal classroom settings or for self-study. It is particularly suitable for candidates preparing for the English Speaking Test (GESE) jointly offered by Trinity College London and Beijing Education Examination Authority. Following the instructions for using "The Green Channel," there is an official letter of recognition from Trinity College London, acknowledging that "The Green Channel" is one of the reference materials for the GESE exam. GESE is a distinctive speaking test with high reliability and validity, attracting an increasing number of English learners to participate. Among the candidates, a significant proportion are middle and primary school students. These students come from full-time public and private foreign language training schools in Beijing. Many schools and parents have requested a set of oral textbooks more suitable for children's learning and exam preparation. Additionally, in the past few years, through our English speaking training and pre-exam coaching for middle and primary school students, we have gained some methods and experience. Given these requirements and our teaching experience, we decided to compile "The Green Channel." The three volumes of "The Green Channel" are generally aligned with the requirements of GESE Speaking Test levels 1-10. The newly compiled children's edition follows the preparatory level of the GESE exam syllabus, incorporating the core content of the original textbook's first and second volumes (first half), divided into four volumes to suit children's English learning. "The Green Channel" can also serve as a guide for primary and junior high school students preparing for GESE levels 1-4, ensuring consistency in content and requirements with the original "The Green Channel." To provide users and parents of young learners with a comprehensive understanding of "The Green Channel," we have also included the official letter of recognition from Trinity College London in this edition. During the compilation of "The Green Channel," we fully considered the psychological characteristics of children learning English and their current language learning and expression abilities. Referring to the objectives for listening and speaking skills at levels 1-5 in the Ministry of Education's Full-Time Compulsory Education Senior High School English Curriculum Standards, and combining the GESE exam syllabus, we have carefully designed the format, image design, teaching methods, and learning load per lesson to make English learning enjoyable and rewarding, reflecting the teaching philosophy of "learning through play" and "teaching in accordance with aptitude." The entire textbook features practical language, innovative structure, vivid illustrations, and a strong sense of fun. Its content closely aligns with the daily lives of primary and secondary school students, making it easy to learn and remember, highly practical, and beneficial for improving children's speaking skills.
